Tom Cruise Wants A “Normal Life” For Suri » Gossip - Tom Cruise may still be trying to figure out what went wrong in his marriage to Katie Holmes, but sources close to him say he does know one thing: he wants Suri to have a normal life. I’m not sure what “normal” is when your dad is one of the biggest movie stars on the planet! Whatever it is, though, Tom wants that for her. It also sounds like he wants her to have stability and feel like things are still pretty much the same.

“He’s going to try, despite all the attention, to have things be as normal as possible,” a source tells PEOPLE. ”But he’s going to have a meaningful relationship with her, as he always has. [Suri will] visit him on movie sets when she’s not in school. He’ll call her all the time.”

At least Tom has the advantage of having been through this before. His kids with Nicole Kidman, Isabella and Connor, were pretty young when they divorced. He ended up becoming the primary parent, so while it may be “challenging” for him to be a single dad (as the source told People), at least Tom has some experience with this! And he knows how to be an active parent and still make movies. It’s always too bad when a couple divorces, but this will all work out.
